
I’ve got a thick stack of Christmas cards from many people I’ve never met in my life. The bulk is from public-relations companies, probably hoping to entice me into writing a story about their company/product/service or whatever. I am amazed at the companies that put a lot of time and effort into the holiday greeting so I thought I’d highlight a few.
Blizzard Entertainment, the Irvine company famous for its World of Warcraft game, put the orcs and elves on the card (actually, I think it’s the same card I got last yea). For all the WoW fans out there, this is for you:

This simple, three-layer card from Kathleen Dunleavy over at Sprint, appealed to my minimalist desires. The card designed by Design Machine and titled “Bubble Tree.” And from Platinum Studios in Los Angeles, a gathering of the game company’s characters:
Atlus, another game company in Irvine behind games like Bomberman, sent me this one, signed by what looks like everyone on staff, in red and green ink no less…
