My back aches, my arms are sore. That’s because I’ve been playing with the Wii since Saturday, when it arrived in the mail. Old news for some, but for those who don’t have Nintendo’s new game console yet or have yet to get their hands on one (here’s a Wii tracker), I tell you, it’s worth it! And not just because you can create personal “Mii’s” that run around in the various games and onto other people’s consoles. (If anyone sees my Mii, please say hi!)
And if you can believe this, I did have a Wii scare. I bowl like a mad woman. Still, I never let go of the controller, which has had dire results for some Wii users. While bowling, the Wii controller’s strap caught on a metal spoon sticking out of my soup cup (dinner) and flung the spoon forward, right at my big TV that sits right under 3 square picture frames. I didn’t even know what happened, just heard a loud THUD.
The spoon completely missed the TV and the picture frames, hitting the small strip of wall in between the breakable objects. Pha-shew! (As illustrated by my husband and only witness, Dale.)
You could always construct a Wii-ing cage from an IKEA mosquito net?
