If you think your family was meant for high-definition living but you can’t afford the lifestyle, Panasonic is offering a chance for you to live the HD life. In the Panasonic Live In HD contest, there is $20,000 worth of HD prizes per winner to be had. But there is work involved — enough effort that I bet there won’t be a lot of submissions. A family who puts the effort probably has a good chance of winning.
1. Figure out why and how your family would live in HD to show Panasonic how HD brings families closer together.
2. Submit your application between now and December.
3. A panel of judges, including Hollywood producer/director Brett Ratner (“Prison Break”) and Kevin Smith (“Clerks”) will pick 30 families based on the submissions.
4. The chosen will get $20,000 worth of HD equipment, including a 1080p plamsa TV, HD camcorder, Blu-ray Disc player, digital camera and other stuff. Families are chosen throughout the submission period so if you get yours in early and are picked, you could get your HD products by early October.
5. Then the families will get monthly challenges to work as a team and record their experience in high definition.
6. Footage, plus interviews with the families, will be used in a documentary film by the aforementioned Hollywood honchos.
7. All the rules, regulations, prizes and other details: www.LivingInHD.com
