Remember the chunky Motorola phones from earlier this century? The company has really slimmed down with the i425, which Irvine’s Boost Mobile will start offering its customers this fall:

Boost i425 thin walkie-talkie cell phone

It’s a half-inch thick and weighs 3.88 ounces, plus the two-toned titanium gray/black slate phone is stuffed with features: wireless web, messaging (AOL, Yahoo and MSN instant messaging), speaker phone, voice-activated dialing, GPS…

And it’s the first from Boost in eco-friendly packaging. Its clamshell packaging was made of “100 percent recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate material and the polypropylene black end caps are made from 35 percent post consumer sources. This is the same type of material used by all soda and water bottles,” says Boost. A little bit more on this from Motorola.

Price:$60 and available this fall.
