Apple Leopard OS X

Since I’ve been getting questions on when Apple’s new operating system is coming out, the answer is now official: Friday, Oct. 26.

Apple Leopard OS XMac OS X version 10.5 Leopard is the much anticipated update to Tiger. But delays have caused people to wonder if it’s really coming out.

Got the word today. Leopard will be available Oct. 26 at Apple stores and resellers for $129 (single household, 5-user license for $199). Pre-orders start today at Apple.com.

**If you bought a Mac on or after Oct. 1, you qualify for the upgrade of Leopard — just pay the $9.95 shipping fee. **

Lots of new features, which you can read about HERE. Some highlights from the press release: Improved parental controls, the complete Boot Camp software (to also run Windows on your Mac), and an enhanced Dictionary with Wikipedia built in.
