Ron Paul WoW marchers document experience

January 2nd, 2008, 2:25 pm · 6 Comments · posted by Sonya Smith

wowrallyElves, druids, orcs and more gathered and marched from inside the World of Warcraft for a Ron Paul New Year’s Day rally and then documented the event in blogs, forums and videos.

The political event in Azeroth was organized by Ron Paul supporters on a discussion forum and revolution.ist Web site. Paul devotees staged the rally on the Whisperwind server and led about 300 characters on a mostly single-file line march from Ironforge to StormWind to Westfall through Booty Bay to Rachet then to the Barrens and finally the Cross roads for a dance — despite some spamming, spit and snowballs from anti-Ron Paul protesters present.

Ron Paul has never voted to regulate games or the internet. Other candidates want to regulate, tax, or otherwise control and influence everything we enjoy.

    Ron Paul 2008 FTW!!!!!

  • Sludge says:

Idiots. Supporting Ron Paul is as much a waste of time as when he ran before when he was called Ross Perot and Ralph Nader.

  • Andy Favor says:

Sludge, Just out of curiosity, why is it a waste of time to support someone who supports the constitution if you believe in our constitution? Ron Paul is attracting people who have never voted in their lives because in the past it was always voting for the “lessor of two evils.” I think it is fantastic that an honest, principled politittion is a serious contender for president.

  • Ron Paul even has gamers into politics! It’s truly a beautiful thing. Democracy may be finally working.

Remember that Ron Paul is the only viable candidate who is pro peace and pro freedom.

  • Sludge says:

Andy Favor, it’s very simple. It’s a waste of time to support someone who HAS NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER OF WINNING. It’s the same as when Perot and Nader ran. They also had a big grassroots support base who pronounced their candidate as the savior of the country. And they also had a snowball’s chance in hell of winning. Again, the WoW rally did nothing but get a bunch of morons together who didn’t accomplish anything but clog up the game for others and create ill will toward their cause.
