As a new mom, I’m on the prowl for more ways to save time and money. And somehow, I’ve been able to convince my bosses here to let me turn this into my new job. Using technology, that is.

Instead of posting news about every single new gadget in OC (a time-consuming task), I’m hoping to take up just a moment of your day every day to share a new way to save money, time or the earth.

Some of your favorite features will remain. In honor of iGirl, I’ll continue with Hump Day Timewasters. And the Q&A with the PC Club will continue each week, although I’m putting Stump the Gadgetress on hiatus unless I hear a big fuss. For those who want to dig, the old Gadgetress archives will still be on the right sidebar.

I will still write about gadgets — but from the perspective of someone who has little time or cash. I’ll share freebies, continue with Contest Alerts (cuz winning free stuff is easier than you’d think) and offer gentle reminders to think green. Each week, I’ll explore a new way to save with an in-depth report. First up: Computer memory, which I’ll post in the next day or so.

Of course, with this new beat, I’m appealing to all innovative readers out there who have their own money or time-saving tips they want to share with the world. Let me know and maybe I’ll feature you in this space. Let the savings begin!
