My wife is getting her iPhone today. But she’s doing it the “nongeek” way: stopping by the AT&T store on the way home after work.

Her biggest reasons for choosing the iPhone: She likes the iTouch, and she likes iTunes (which her SLVR has, but no other new phones have).

I love my iMac 24, but I also love my Blackberry. The Blackberry is better for email, and works great for my other apps. I like Verizon better than ATT. The iPhone is a cool device nonetheless, but its not for me.

I love my iPhone. I too had a Razer before and can’t imagine going back to a regular phone. Ick. Haven’t had any problems with the phone. Granted, I was peeved when Apple dropped the price but not holding a grudge. I’ll wait a year or so before upgrading.

11 – who cares? seriously, what is it with people and this dumb phone.. I agree with bum, Fed Up, etc (maybe just not quite as vehemently!)

besides even if you are a tech nerd like me, doesn’t guarantee you’ll buy anything (or in some folks’ case, everything) with a rotting fruit on it. blech… I’ll keep myPhone.

Sure, there might be phones with different features out there. But we’re camping out because we like THIS phone. I have had my phone since launch day last year and have had zero problems. It’s truly a fun experience, and since I happen to have the time, I’ll be doing it again. See you in line Sonya!

why buy the new one? the only thing that WOULD HAVE MADE IT BETTER is if could use it as a modem and plug your labtop in while on the road. other 3g phones like the blackberry do this. thats why i am not a fan of the the new iphone and will be keeping my old one until next years mudel. hopefully it can do this, and the money i save without the increase fee rate will pay for it.

Hey iphone idiots ! Last year I arrived at 10 am at the Jamboree location, I was 3rd in line. Brought a cooler, magazines, and hung out til 4:00 or whatever time they released the stupid phone. The first 30 in line got a phone, and they were kind enough to let the #31 and so on that they would not be leaving with a phone that day as they knew they had 30. During the next 2 weeks I compiled a list of the top 14 reasons I hated the phone, a new reason each day, and the final straw was it isn’t grounded and when I plugged it into a professional sound system to play a song, it started sparking and crackling. This is the worst phone I ever had, and returned on the 14th day, happily getting 90% of my money back. There are 13 other major reasons NOT to buy this aweful phone. It sucks

Better this year?? Did you forget that you could just walk in and buy an iphone last year once they opened up and the days after? There was no need to wait in line for hours or days. Maybe the i in iPhone stands for idiot if you waste your time inline, again. Oh, you forgot to mention even though the 3G iphone costs less the monthly fees have increased.

Why camp out at all? After all, there didn’t seem to be any shortage of phones during the on-sale last year. As an “early adopter” tech geek myself, I really just don’t see the need to have it within an hour of going on sale. Don’t believe the hype!
