What I don’t like about iLike: restrictions on free

July 21st, 2008, 5:20 pm · Post a Comment · posted by

iLike.comI spotted headlines of iLike.com offering streams of songs in their entirety for FREE. So, I thought I’d try it myself and signed up for an account. But those headlines aren’t quite true. You’ve got to read the whole story. Full songs are only available to people who pay $12.95 a month for unlimited music streams from Rhapsody.com.

However, non-Rhapsody members can listen to 25 songs for free per month at iLike. That’s the same number of songs that Rhapsody offers with its own free account.

I’m exploring more ways to access music for free or on the cheap. I’m not talking about outright theft, but legal sites offering good music. I just need to take some time to research this. If you have a favorite site, let me know so I can include them all on a future post.
