Cox Communications, the cable TV provider for a good chunk of Orange County, added two Indian-language channels for local viewers. The channels, STAR India Plus and Sony Entertainment Television Asia (or SET Asia), are now available on channels 411 and 412, respectively.
Both can be ordered individually or as part of a package. A la carte prices for international channels are available HERE (the a la carte price for SET Asia is $14.95/month, while STAR India Plus appears to be $11.95).

COX COMMUNICATIONS ADDS TWO POPULAR HINDI LANGUAGE INDIAN CHANNELS IN ORANGE COUNTY AND PALOS VERDES
Cox customers now have access to 21 international networks
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., Oct. 7, 2008 — Cox Communications announced today that effective October 7, it will offer two more Hindi-language Indian channels in Orange County and Palos Verdes, bringing the total number of international channels available to Cox Digital Cable customers to 21.
The two channels being added are STAR India PLUS and Sony Entertainment Television Asia, popularly known as SET Asia.
STAR India PLUS - India’s number one Hindi pay-TV channel for seven consecutive years regularly features many of the top programs in the country week-in and week-out. Prime time programs on STAR India PLUS include household-name soap operas such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thii as well as some of the nation’s favorite reality and game shows.
Sony Entertainment Television Asia, popularly known as SET Asia, is one of India’s popular Hindi-language based international general entertainment broadcasters. SET Asia’s programming is targeted toward family audiences. The programming covers genres including drama, reality, comedy, horror, Bollywood, and live events.
Customers can choose to purchase STAR India PLUS and SET Asia individually or in a package with other South Asian networks.
In addition to these networks, Cox Communications also offers many other international networks including: ART (Arabic programming), CCTV-4 (Chinese programming in Mandarin), CCTV-9, Channel One Russia (C1R) (Russian programming), CNN International, CTI-Zhong Tian Channel (Chinese-Mandarin), GMA Pinoy, ImaginAsian, MYX (Asian American), Phoenix InfoNews (Chinese programming in Mandarin), Phoenix North America Chinese Channel (Chinese programming in Mandarin), RAITALIA (Italian), Saigon Broadcasting Television Network (SBTN) (Vietnamese programming), The Filipino Channel (Filipino), TV5MONDE (French programming), TV Asia (South Asian programming in Hindi, Gujarati, English and other regional Indian languages), TV JAPAN (Japanese), tvK (Korean) and Zee TV.
All these channels are now available to Cox Communications customers throughout the Orange County communities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Irvine, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Tustin and some unincorporated parts of Orange County as well as Palos Verdes, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and parts of San Pedro. Laguna Beach and Lake Forest do not currently receive all international programming.
