Cox to host public digital TV transition forum in Irvine

December 1st, 2008, 4:23 pm · 2 Comments · posted by Tamara Chuang, a.k.a. The Gadgetress

With 78 days left before TV’s broadcast switch to all digital, it’s about time someone in Orange County hosts a forum to answer all remaining questions out there.

Cox Communications is behind the Digital Transition Town Hall meeting on Dec. 11 in Irvine. The free event will include speakers from the Federal Communications Commission, TV station KDOC and Cox and a question-and-answer session. The event is open to the public — you don’t have to be a Cox customer.

To get questions answered ahead of time, check out my past stories on the topic:

Great! A long way from where I live!
How about a web site set up where we can complain about the fact that Digital doesnt work on rabbit ears and the apartment owners refuse to put up a master antenna or let us put up an antenna!
We will loose all TV coverage on Feb 17
We are the forgotten ones and the FCC, Politicans and TV broadcasters have abandoned us!

Hello Cox, I was checking my bill on line and saw a link to a Town Hall Review Board or sorts, only not this one that will discussing 12-17 and the “cable only” era.

This seemed to be some sort of an advisory or consumer feedback type of situation. Something along those lines I would surely be agreeable to listening to the finer points of.

Feel free to e mail me at the Yahoo site listed, thank you,
