I’ve been covering the good and the bad of Time Warner Cable pretty heavily in the past few months. While a lot of readers continue to be upset or frustrated with service and prices, it is nice to hear that the company is giving back to the community.
In Orange County, Time Warner employs 800 people. There are about 8,000 in the Southern California region. Through a program called “Hope for the Holidays,” Time Warner asked employees to help it “adopt” 31 families and shower them with Christmas gifts, meals and furniture. Gifts included games, sewing machines, telescopes, TVs, food and grocery cards.
Four families were from Orange County, including Stanton resident Rebecca and her mother, Cecelia. Rebecca got a bed and mattress and a bunch of gifts that are piled on the bed in the photo on right. Other families live in Placentia, Yorba Linda and Brea.
If you have other charitable news to share this Christmas, please leave a comment below. Happy Holidays!
