Digital TV isn’t (totally) free, plus tips and tricks

Just 24 days until TV broadcasts turn all-digital on us, that is unless a pending bill to delay the digital TV transition for four months becomes a law (we may find out this week).

So… writing as if the February 17, 2009 deadline will happen, I’ve reworked my ‘Gadgetress Guide to the Digital TV transition’ with how to select an antenna, a video of a converter box installation and my short list of pros and cons —  going digital isn’t free, since you’ll need to buy the aforementioned converter box or a digital TV, plus an antenna.
