After public outcry, cable company changes its mind

Time Warner CableGo away for two weeks and stories fix themselves! I’m back from a mix of vacation and furlough time and noticed the Time Warner Cable decision to charge heavy Internet users overage fees has been called off.  

Of course, few stories take on a life like this one, where everybody and their blogs tackled the topic and every nuance of such a decision. There were a bunch of stories about why companies shouldn’t do this, but some other interesting angles included:

Obviously, the public spoke out after finding out about the issue from blogs and newspapers everywhere. Power of the people? Or maybe the fourth estate is still keeping the nation in check and watching out for the little guy?

Whatever it is, I’m here to find out what the new issues are that consumers should be concerned about and hopefully, I will continue to be a resource to readers. I know there are a ton of TV customers out there in Orange County who don’t think anyone is listening. Apparently, Time Warner is.
