Thanks….since I emailed you, a sales guy came to my door to sell me FIOS. I was like, ABOUT TIME!

Got it installed on Friday, took 4 hours to do 2 TV’s, cable modem, and one phone outlet. That’s some equipment they install!

Well, dang that’s blazing fast internet! My PS3 never downloaded a game so fast! Love the HD DVR, such a big guide and SO MANY HD channels! i’m in heaven!

Good point -- FiOS isn't just about faster Internet upload, but better HD TV because there's no compression. If you send me your address, I'll add it to my own database of places in OC that actually have FiOS/Uverse.

I became the owner of a brand new home here in OC in mid-June. One of the major selling points about the new community was the availability of Internet connectivity options and fiber was the primary focus of the builder. Because of the type of tech work I’m involved with I need reliable connectivity so my company paid TIme Warner Business Class cable was installed days after I moved in. I’m very happy with it I get 2Mbps up/ 15Mbps down and I have a dozen static IPs. For my personal home use I had Verizon FIOS installed on Monday of this week (Phone/TV/Internet) – what an incredible experience over my business cable. 15Mbps up/ 25Mbps down! After having Time Warner cable TV service in the past I must admit how truly superior the quality of HD on FIOS is over the competition. I have friends that visit my new home who think I’ve bought a new LCDTV and are amazed when I tell them the only difference is the service.

I totally agree that with those in the survey that feel fiber is a selling point when buying a home or moving to a new apartment as well. When I was a renter I always researched my options for fast Internet when deciding where to live. Homeowners are keen to this trend as well.

So! Verizon has installed fiber optic cable in my apartment, but the service still isn’t available for me to order! Better make sure there is a fiber connection from the house to their network as well! haha…

This is obviously a service people want, but these companies are doing nothing to get it into peoples homes.
