UPDATE, July 30, 2009: Just heard back from Cox. Yup, there’s been a delay to August 4. Apparently, it’s been difficult to get the new HD feeds from Cox’s corporate office in Atlanta.

Cox did add two non-HD sports channels, The Mountain (MountainWest Sports Network) on channel 313 and CBS College Sports on 314. However, still nothing on the new HD channels. They even had a message about these new HD channels on my bill. I hope they will give you an answer, Gadgetress.

true to Cox M.O. they did not add the 9 HD channels 7/28. I even called a tech yesterday and he promised they would be added at some time during the day. They are still not available today (7/29). I called back & the tech said 8/4. Cus Svc said it should have happened yesterday then chg’d her mind to 8/4. When I asked why the delay, she said she ‘had no control over it’.
Gadgetress, can you please do a follow up?

FX HD. Woohoo! Now if AT&T would just roll out U-Verse to the rest of Irvine so I could get some REAL HD choices….I assume AT&T continues to be coy? >=|

Yes — new channels are “free” if you have digital cable HD service

I’m guessing that the price will still be, FREE from Cox. HD service is currently free, except for HD Theater, HDNet and HDNet Movies.

Does Cox mention anything on prices Gadgetress?
