Thanks for considering posting a channel comparison list- good idea. Also curious about the dollar for dollar match-up for these channels. I’ve considering switching to the carriers that have more HD channels but am concerned that the price would double on me… I don’t trust the carrier’s own advertised comparison lists that they put on their websites…thanks

20 of DirecTV’s 124 HD channels are regional sports networks, according to my count. You’re also right on the East/West feeds overlap, but since all the TV services count those as separate channels, so did I. I’m planning to post my list of channels to show readers how I come up with this list all the time.

I’m wondering how many of the 124 DirecTV offer are regional sports networks that are not available to everyone. Also, how many of those are counted twice because of East and West coast feeds of the same channel?
