Readers, I’m heading to my second day of jury duty so posts will be on hold. But here’s something for Orange County readers who are hoping to get AT&T’s alternative TV service, U-verse, in their city.
To supplement an ongoing series of updates as to what happened to the AT&T U-verse rollout in Orange County, the company gave me this updated list of cities where it is building U-verse.
Keep in mind, service may not be available in all the cities yet, but AT&T is working on building the service there.
Is your city listed? Or is it listed but you still can’t order TV service? Comment below or send me an e-mail and I will try to verify. If you have more information yourself, please share!

I live in Orange, near Old Towne. I have normal AT&T service, but don’t yet have U-verse. I ask for it monthly. They can’t tell me when service will be available.
I live in Placentia and I am in the same boat as Dave. Normal AT&T phone and internet but no U-verse service. Based on the assupmtion that the street construction in my area is due to upgrading of infrastructure, I anticipate having it available soon, but cannot get confirmation from AT&T.
I live in Costa Mesa where the Uverse is “available”. I took the day off last week for the technician to come and do the 4 hour install (phone/internet/tv). He was unable to connect me due to a weak signal. Apparently the signal reaches 3000ft and I am about 2900 ft away….the signal would be too weak to watch two HD shows at once. Maybe someday AT&T…..
The AT&T U-verse website says it is unavailable at my home in Aliso Viejo (near the Laguna Niguel costco).
I’m in Anaheim Hills. We get AT&T phone/internet, but no U-verse.
COX COMMUNICATION SERVICE RULES AND OFFERS BETTER CHOICES THEN AT&T AND YOU WILL GET MORE FOR YOUR MONEY.
I’ll be switching from Cox to Uverse shortly. Cox block ports and VPN service, so if I want to work from home I have to upgrade to a business account. I think I’ll pass and do business with a company that doesn’t engage in that behavior.
I live in Mission Viejo and talked to the folks at ATT today (7/21) and still have no U-verse and they don’t know when. They just say soon.
It’ll depend on the price. Right now I pay nearly $100 a month for internet and expanded cable with COX. Not even digital, much less hi-def.
I just got back from France where I got ADSL broadband internet access, telephone (free calls everywhere, including to the U.S.), and 160 channels of digital hi-def TV, including a DVR for only 25 Euros per month (about $35).
They’re way ahead of us.
I live in one of the new apt complexes in Anaheim by Angel Stadium and subscribe to TV and Internet (U300+Max18). Since this complex was newly constructed AT&T has a VRAD in the building and copper to each unit so distance was not an issue during install for me.
We live in RSM between the lake and Oneil park. The U-verse website says not available for us. Customer service on phone says no date, just “soon”. Yeah….it better be worth the wait. COX is lagging behind. I don’ care about caller ID on my t.v. I want better picture quality, reliable recordings, more storage, and the fancy stuff u-verse promises (4 t.v.s one recording, etc.)
Thanks (everyone!)! I’ll be checking on the status of all these cities. By the way, Cox has said it planned to roll out a multi-room DVR this year (according to this older post).
U-VERSE is awesome. I got it at my baby mamas crib in Santa Ana.
I’m in Anaheim too – where it is supposed to be available – but no luck in my area. Had it when I lived in Fullerton, and it is the best. Hoping it will expand to all areas of Anaheim soon. Currently have DirectTv and AT&T internet – just not the same
I’m moving to Lake Forest and had been excited about the possibility of getting this service. Looks like I got excited for nothing
Any word on U-verse coming to Lake Forest?
I live in Fullerton and so far no U-verse. Odd because I’m in the downtown area only half a mile away from the AT&T CO at Amerige and Harbor and still no U-verse.
I live in Orange between Villa Park and Orange Park Acres, and AT&T U-verse isn’t available in my area — can you find out if they’re done with Orange or if they’re planning to make it available in our area? I know that both Villa Park and Chapman Hills already have it. Thanks
It’s still NOT available in BREA!
It is available in Brea, though possibly not where you live. I swear! I’ve seen the boxes. I’m working on an update to Brea right now. E-mail me your address and I can check.
We live in Corona del Mar and (must) have Cox. Cox is terrible, aside from the monthly charges (over $150 for internet, phone, cable) the computers are so slow, almost like being back on dial up. Cox says we have the new power boost but I can tell no difference, if anything is seems slower that it was 1 or 2 months ago.
I was really looking forward to ATT. They are putting in a box about 3 blocks away but website says still not available in Corona del Mar.
Corona del Mar is a small city within Newport Beach and has it’s own zip code.
Thanks for updates.
I live in Buena Park and have been checking every month and still no U-Verse available here. I’ve called and they won’t give me a time frame either, just “soon”. In the meantime, Time Warner continues to give me crappy service and raises my rates monthly
My mom has U-Verse in Corona and it’s a pretty cool service, just wish it was available to me.
I live in Dove Canyon, and am constantly getting postcard asking me to sign up for U-Verse, even though it is not yet available to me, and I can’t find out why. Robinson Ranch, our neighboring community has it, but we can’t. Frustrating.
I live in Newport Beach, in the Newport Terrace townhomes at the end of 19th Street.
Our entire complex has had such poor phone service from AT&T, that most residents have either switched to Time-Warner’s VOIP service, or use their cell phone as their residential line.
Just last week, AT&T finally (after 7 years of compaining) rewired a portion of our complex, but when the crew was finished, they didn’t bother to reconnect my land line. It took a call to AT&T executive offices in San Francisco to get my phone service re-instated in an acceptable time frame.
I seriously doubt U-Verse will ever be available in my neighborhood, since AT&T doens’t seem to care about the quality of phone service until a group of residents gets the CPUC involved.
