Sounds like you need to look at buying a "Network Extender" which is a picocell device you can install in your home if it's that important to you. It's like a small flea powered cell site in your house....of course you can always switch carriers too.

I live in Aliso Viejo at City Lights Apartments...Verizon works MAYBE 25% of the time. This is a total ripoff at $99 a month for service that rarely works and when it does your call is dropped in less than a minute. What a ripoff they are.

Lori,

Verizon will let you out of your contract and you can switch back to Sprint. I move to a new home in Laguna Niguel and found that Verizon does not provide coverage here. Just call Verizon Technical Support and submit a problem report. Since they cannot provide adequate coverage in your area, they will let you out of the contract.

Best of luck,

I am furious. I switched from Sprint to Verizon over a year ago because all of my extended family were Verizon customers. Talking among ourselves was free. I did not know that when I moved to an area on the border of Santa Ana and Tustin that my cell reception would turn into a nightmare. I can't carry on a conversation from my home, not in one single room or even outside without a call dropping. Sometimes I can't even make a call. I believe the closest tower is in Irvine. I'm in cell phone hell.

Verizon should make an iphone app that shows the Verizon coverage you would be getting based on your GPS location if you weren't stuck with AT&T.
