I signed up with T Mobile after getting out of a contract wit AT&T. I left them for lack of service.
I signed up with T Mobile because AT&T said they now had control of the towers in my Tustin area. That was why my service with AT&T suddenly failed claimed AT&T.
At first service was great with T Mobile. I had no trouble calling from anywhere in my house and while out and about.
Then suddenly I get no bars at home and many dropped calls and bad service when out. T Mobile claimed that AT&T had cut one of their lines in our area. They said a company hired by AT&T had accidentally cut the line while doing service in my area. They had me reconfigure my phone to use the hated AT&T through my phone to improve service because theirs was not working. They said it would be repaired but it has been 6 months and still no bars in my house!
Also I was dumb enough to buy T Mobiles lies and got T Mobile@home,
The service has been awful and they refuse to release me from my contract. They promised that I would have fax abilities with @Home just like my AT&T land line did. They LIED!!!
They never have gotten the service to have fax capabilities like promised. When I complained and wanted out of my contract for that reason and because for months my phone only worked 50% of the time.
It was unsafe and inconvenient. My Mom was in the hospital and trying to call me and I had no phone service for 10 days because the T Mobile router failed. I have had 3 so far and they all eventually fail.
I can hardly wait until next Sept 17 when my contract is up and I can get an AT&T land line again. TMobile should not be allowed to lie about their @Home service to make sales. I never would have switched from AT&T if I had been told the truth.
I must say lastly that the cell service has improved the last 2 months when out but still the bars that used to be at my home are still gone. If I want to make a call on my cell i have to go outside my house to do so. This is wrong !!!
I used to be able to make a call in any room of my house.
My friend who has Sprint can use her phone anywhere in my house but I can not make a call. Why won't T Mobile fix their service?????

I've been a loyal T-Mobile customer for over 5 years and never once had a problem. I would NEVER leave. Spotty service once in a while, but that happens with all providers.

For those of us that depend on our phone to do our job, having something like this happen (mid day work week no less) is just unacceptable. I pay good money to these people every month, not to mention how much I paid for the phone, so I do believe this is a huge deal. I have been a long time customer at TMobile and they have had more mishaps this year then I have seen in the entire time I have been with them. I am considering making a change even though I just upgraded my phone. Anything like this ever happens again and I will be forced too. I was feeling the effects from their screw up until 10am this morning. Not cool.

my texting was out, but no biggie. thats why we shouldn't depend on modern devices, stuff like this is bound to happen, regardless of the company you have. I am still satisfied with Tmobile and wouldn't switch for anything.

What happened Tuesday did not happen to me however, for the past two weeks periodically I get a "Radio Path Unavailable" message when trying to call out. I also do not receive calls or text messages when that is on. It happened all day this past Sunday. If this happens again, I am switching providers, I pay for a service that I am not getting.

After being with Sprint (THE WORST at CUST SERVICE AND BILLING!!!) and AT&T (Not bad, but spotty in South OC for coverage), T Mobile has been the most user friendly (website and stores) and everyone I have ever spoken to in customer service has been engaging and helpful. If you depend on a phone to get messages, etc. get a landline. Cell phones in general are only as reliable as the cell towers and networks they operate off of. My family loves T mobile and we're here to stay! :-)

Good question. T-Mobile is pretty silent at the moment. No response to my question this morning about continued reports of outages. However, I have heard that some users affected by the T-Mobile SideKick data screwup started seeing 3-week old messages pop up.

So what happens to all the text/voice messages that were sent to/from T-Mobile customers? Are they all lost or will they start showing up?

I dont' know what you people are smoking, but T-Mobile has had great customer service and worked fine for me everywhere except for a few remote towns, and I've had Sprint and AT&T before. And 1 outage in 10 years is not bad.

T-Mobile is NOPT a good cellphone provider. I originally got them for my kids. My sons sidekick was effected by last months OOPS and my daughters yesterday. My daughter walks home from school everyday and we talk on the phone while she walks home. I never heard from her and I kept texting her and calling her and I wasn't getting a response back. Her friends she was with also have T-Mobile and unfortunately, they were all having the same problem. What a scary day it was for me yesterday. She got home ok and called me from there. I have sprint and have had them for 10 years and I NEVER had any problems with them.

I've been with TMobile for over 7 years. I have had issues with them, but nothing that makes me want to leave- and my twin works for Sprint!

There are a couple of spots I know coverage just isn't great- for some reason Target and Trader Joes are places I know I can't rely on and my garage and living room are a bit spotty. It's not life changing for me, though.

People who expect perfection are hard to please.

I had no idea I didn't have any coverage last night- but then I don't make too many phone calls after a certain hour of the day. It didn't effect me either way.

Haha, I'm still bitter about the fact that, being a GSM-based provider, they limit my conference call usage to connect a maximum of 2 other callers to my line. The max used to be like 4 of 6 (not sure since i never went over 3, but only read through forums). Why did they limit this number to begin with. I don't see how keeping the max at 4 or 6 would affect them, but now I can't take incoming calls or make outgoing calls when I have 2 other people on the line with me. Soooooo lame. I'm waiting for them to improve their service or have some other company come in and provide the services I need.

We live in South County and I we have been getting "searching" and no service in most areas south of the 55 freeway for three weeks. Anyone else having problems like that?

This happens to me every three months, so it's not a new problem... I should have switched to AT&T when I had the chance!
