I believe U-verse's upgrade in July fixed this. See "O.C., L.A. U-verse users get upgraded today."

Hmmm… 1 vote for “It Sucks”, 1 vote for “It’s Great”, and 1 vote for “Where the hell is it?!”

Tamara – can you tell me if, like cable, FIOS and U-Verse are region-locked? That is, because I have AT&T phone service in my neighborhood I’ll only ever be offered U-Verse. I’m not clear on whether the phone companies have divided up territories like cable has.

Also, your series of articles on the status of the fiber roll outs in different cities was great. An update would be most welcome!

I have had the service for over a year and a half. I am still happy. , I will never return to Time Warner Cable!

They’re advertising like mad, pushing the advantages to be gained, and yet I know no one who can get it. I can’t, and I’ve been waiting in Laguna Niguel for a year. It seems that the heavy advertising about the advantages, they could actually make it available to people.
