Most consumers will agree that Vizio Inc. makes a decent HDTV that usually cost less than the competition. While the quality is debatable (let me reword this) not everyone is gaga for the brand, Vizio’s big pricing extravaganza begins right … around… NOW!
Just got a list of Vizio’s Black Friday 2009 prices starting with a $99 BLU-RAY PLAYER! But we all knew Blu-ray was going to hit $99 this Christmas, right?
Noticeably absent: Vizio’s VIA TV, the Internet TV I’ve been waiting for. Ah well. I hate shopping on Black Friday anyway.
But for everyone else who needs a new TV, here is Vizio holiday price lineup:
Costco:
- $300 off VIZIO 55-inch Full HD 1080P 120Hz LCD TV (VF550M), $1,199.99 at Costco and Costco.com between Nov. 27 to Nov. 29.
- $100 off VIZIO 40-inch Full HD 1080P LCD TV (VO400E), $599.99 at Costco between Dec. 3 to Dec. 20

When you spend $99 on a media player, you get what you pay for - something close to worthless. Complete waste of money.
Keep being the fool that you are.
LGT, why do you think a $99 blu ray player would be bad? If an excellent upconverting dvd player can be sold for $40, why can’t a blu-ray player be sold for $100? “you get what you pay for” is dumb. If one person pays twice as much for an item as another does not mean the expensive one is 2x better.
I can’t agree more. And with Vizio being the top rated TV I can’t imagine the player being much less. So there’s some bells and whistles missing. Like streaming Netflix, that appears to be Netflix’s problem, not Vizio.

I bought a 32″ Vizio HDTV in May for $327 at Walmart.
Buy a PlayStation3,…Blu-Ray is standard, even on least expensive model.
but the remote is not
and the enormous power consumption will send you to the poor house!
Power consumption? On a PS3 Slim? Dude, my electric bill went down, not up this month, and I have been on it every night.
As for the remote, you can pick one up cheap on Amazon or use your shock 3 controller.
Logitech Harmony any one?
