It’s time for the monthly cell-phone reception update from AT&T. This month, the lucky winners are the cities of Cypress and Laguna Niguel. Both cities received a new 3G cell site, offering improved reception for AT&T mobile subscribers.
To collect the prize, city residents or anyone passing through, should notice better reception when near these intersections:
Both are 3G cell sites, which means faster downloads and Web browsing.
AT&T even has this message for Orange County customers:
“We have a long history of investing in our network throughout Orange County to improve the quality of service we provide to our customers,” said Richard Porras, AT&T External Affairs, Orange County, in a press release. “Our customers will experience enhanced wireless coverage and an improved user experience as a direct result of the activation of this new cell site.”
Outside of Orange County, AT&T added nine new cell sites in the greater Los Angeles area. The additions are part of the 320 site upgrades to 3G plus 200 brand new cell sites AT&T is adding in California this year.

My contract is up with ATT, I will be leaving ATT. I have the Iphone and its useless to have it. I think Apple should step up to the plate. If ATT don’t improve their reception area’s, they should look to others carriers for the Iphone. I cannott make a calls from inside my home in Tustin/Irvine. I have complained about this several times to ATT, with no prevail. All my minutes are waisted to drop calls.
Since Sunday November 29th I have noticed complete coverage in Laguna Niguel in areas where I had limited or no service. Its nice to see actual coverage at my house for the first time in 12 years.
how about parts of diamond bar and chino hills, inside south coast plaza in costa mesa and parts of irvine abd tustin…been with the company for so many years…just extended for another two years…should have changed carrier…
I moved to Laguna Niguel June 2008 and I didn’t have any cell service. As of early December 2009 I noticed 4 to 5 bars and 3G in my home!!!! I am thrilled!! Yes!! I stuck it out with Iphone and I’m glad I did. Thank you AT&T…. Love my Iphone couldn’t give it up!!
