Earth Day e-waste recycling events

Alt+Save time, money & the earth with the GadgetressEarth Day is Tuesday and just like many other non-holidays, it’s a day to raise awareness about what happens when we dump our old electronics in landfills. They’re not so good to the earth or to us, especially if they leak out lead into our drinking water.

So, here are a few more chances to get rid of your electronic waste and have a little Earth Day fun:

1-800 Got-Junk e-Waste collection event
When: Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Volt Workforce Solutions and Com-Cycle Electronics Earth Day event
When:
Tuesday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Volt Corporate at 2401 North Glassell Street, Orange
Accepted: Electronics, batteries, light bulbs and more.

Fountain Valley Earth Day e-Waste drive
When: Saturday, April 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 17635 Los Alamos in Fountain Valley (in the parking lot of the Fountain Valley Library)

The Relay For Life eWaste fundraiser
When: April 19th & 20th, Saturday and Sunday, 9AM to 3PM
Where: Albertsons Parking Lot, 1930 N. Placentia Ave. in Fullerton (N. Placentia Ave. & Yorba Linda Blvd.)
Note: All home and office electronics accepted! (No appliances or fluorescent lamps please)
