Bigger, better BlizzCon coming in October

May 12th, 2008, 10:02 am by

Blizzard Entertainment just announced that it will host its third BlizzCon fan fest at the Anaheim Convention Center on October 10 and 11. Need I say more?

Okay, I will. The Irvine company continues to have fantabulous success with its Warcraft and Star Craft games. This year, the event will occupy three convention halls, instead of two.

I’ll post details as soon as I get them. More information should be posted at Blizzcon.com, but the page still has last year’s information.The $100 tickets, which aren’t on sale yet, do sell out fast so you’ve been warned…

To get in the mood, check out coverage from last year’s show:

    Didn’t get enough of CES?

    January 19th, 2007, 10:16 am by

    Keep Feb. 4 free because the North Orange County Computer Club has Irene Chow as its guest speaker. I followed Irene around the Consumer Electronics Show last year because she has one of the most important gadget jobs in the world: She seeks out cool gadgets to add to Ingram Micro’s inventory. And Ingram Micro is the biggest tech distributor in the world, so it makes sense to get Ingram to notice your gadgets.

    She’ll be talking about the cool stuff she saw at this year’s show. To prepare, read up on Irene’s CES adventures last year.

    ::Details::
    When: Feb. 4, 2007, Sunday
    Time: Irene Chow, with Ingram Micro, speaks at 2 p.m.
    Where: Chapman University, 333 N. Glassell Street in Orange, at the Irvine Auditorium. Here’s a MAP.
